Jimmy Wayne Burt

Tullahoma - Jimmy Wayne Burt, age 76 of Tullahoma, entered into rest on Wednesday January 17th, 2018 at Stonecrest Medical Center. Jimmy was a long-time attendee of St. Paul United Methodist Church. There were many things in his life that he enjoyed such as fishing, spending time with his family and talking about his boys racing.
He is preceded in death by parents Clarence and Irene Burt and his wife of 34 years Carolyn Burt.

He is survived by and will be greatly missed by his daughter Kim (Billy) Darnell, son Wayne Burt; grandchildren Dustin Darnell and fiancé Hannah, Derrick Darnell and fiancé Kayla, Kelsi Burt; brother Don (Loretta) Burt, several nieces and nephews

In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make donations to the Area 13 Special Olympics in Jimmy’s honor.

The family will receive friends on Friday January 19th ,2018 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Tullahoma Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday January 20th, 2018 at 1:00pm at Tullahoma Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Turkey Creek Cemetery in Moore County.

So sorry to learn of Jim's passing, he was a lifelong acquaintance, friend and neighbor. He taught me to shoot a shotgun, operate a wringer washing machine, shock night crawlers out of the ground, detail a cars wash job and drive after dark from Winchester to Tullahoma in about 5 minutes(it seemed) in his parents' new '59 Chev. All of this before age 15. R.I.P. friend.
